MAKE ME A DIVERSITY TRAINER

What is the course about?
This intensive training course is for those who intend to become equality and diversity trainers. It includes generic training skills development as well as the specific requirements to understand and effectively train others on equality and diversity issues. 

Course content includes:  
  • Understanding learning styles and their implications for training 
  • A systematic approach to training
  • Equality and diversity legislation
  • Use of different equality, diversity and inclusion models
  • How to manage resistance in the training room 
  • Use of a range of approaches and techniques  

Who is for?
Suitable for people who have experience of working with groups in a facilitative role. Participants should also have a real understanding of the issues faced by minority groups, ideally gained by direct experience. To optimise the attention which can be given to each participant we  keep  the numbers for this course small.  

Duration
  • 2 hours of equality and diversity e-learning (pre training)
  • 5 days classroom training
  • An individual coaching session for each participant (post training)
